Presidential chief of staff of Russia, Sergey Ivanov asserted, sending military forces to Syria solely to protect the national interests of Russia in Syria. Ivanov, in a statement also reiterates, for now will only menerjukan new Russian air power in Syria, and no plans to deploy ground forces to the state leadership of Bashar al-Assad that.

"The main purpose of our military operations is to provide air support for the Syrian government troops are currently battling ISIS," said the right hand of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

He added, military operation in Syria would only be temporary. However, Ivanov still reluctant to reveal when the operation would begin, and how long the operation will take place.
